It's hard to believe that we're half way through 2010. Back in January, I wrote a post about some of my New Year's goals...so how am I doing? Knitting My knitting goal for the year was to finish a pair of socks that fit my feet. Sounds simple right? I've been knitting a lot--in fact, I've finished over 12 projects so far this year. I started the socks, but then frogged them due to a mistake. I just don't like knitting socks. Any sock knitters out there? Please, enlighten me and let me know the secret to knitting socks. I'm determined to complete a pair...after I finish the 5 other projects that keep taking a higher priority...
Books I've been a reading fiend this year. To date, I have finished 26 books. My goal for the year was 30, so I'd say I'm well on my way to completing this goal. If you're interested, you can find my book list here.
Blog I wanted to blog more frequently and make a concerted effort not to miss a whole month. So far so good...
Pictures I ambitiously decided to challenge myself to take at least one photo per day. While I love going back and looking through all the photos, this project has certainly challenged my creativity. Some days it's really easy to find a perfect shot. Other days, I quickly snap a cell phone shot or a self photo with my MacBook. Nevertheless, I'm using my camera much more than I would have without this project and I love love love some of the shots. I think it will be really fun to look through the year's photos at the end, remembering all the places I've been throughout the year. Through six months, the pictures have been taken in 3 countries, 7 states (US), and 20 cities. See all the photos on Flickr or check out some of my favorites below.
