My yarn stash continues to grow despite the fact that I've been trying to complete little projects to use up the random bits and scraps and leftovers. I made 4-5 coffee / tea cup cozies in the last month. These are fast knits and only take about 2 hours. The pattern is so simple that I had it memorized after the first one.
I was really excited to finally find a use for the rainbow yarn pictured above. I purchased a ridiculously small amount of it (50 yards) at a boutique yarn store when I lived in New York City. It then proceeded to sit in my stash for about 3 years. I liked it, but it's a strange color, a non-typical type of yarn (more like a ribbon and flat in shape) and I only bought one skein. Moral of the story? Don't buy one skein of random yarn when you have no idea what to do with it... I need to knit 1-2 more cozies to use up the rest of it. I guess I'll have a matching rainbow set.
